Development of his career
His first breakthrough performance was the one he had on Oct 9th of 2012 at the Simuka comedy night Book café where he was groomed at the same time making a name for himself and an impact in the industry. The following 3 years , Long John had locally made a name for himself across the country and seeing him getting regional acclaim. He did his first comedy tours in South Africa on October 2014 and May 2015 were he shared a stage with big names such as Loiso Gola , Joe parker , Tall Ass mo, Dasty rush, Jason Galiath, Celeste Ntuli and more. he performed at the Parkers comedy club, Montrox comedy competition, the Box comedy, Soweto theatre , Marula sun comedy, Johannesburg theatre , Pretoria state theatre and more
That same year 2015 he proceeded to Namibia were he performed at Hilton hotel . Having made such waves beyond borders he was then recognized in the country and was given slots in the most prestigious events in Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe HIFA festival and Shoko festival
Rich began his stand up career in 1997 performing throughout Europe as well as in his native New York. In 2009 he was runner up at the London Bridge New Comedy Fringe Festival and has since become an occasional headliner on the UK comedy circuit. His comedy spans a wide range of topics and, when the mood hits, he may drag out the keyboard to perform a few comedy tunes as well. He does bar gigs, club gigs, corporate gigs and, as the warm up comic for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, arena gigs.

Mduduzi Dlamini, who goes by the stage name “Mdura” is a
very intelligent and witty comedian. His sharp eye and down to
earth humour, inspired by everyday life, reflects his unique and
quirky outlook on life. His love for performing and making people
laugh is consistently evident in his execution of his stand-up
comedy and has fast earned him the label of being ‘every body’s comedy sensation’ in the local scenes.
This charming, rising star also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social
Science from the University of Swaziland (UNISWA, 2015); and to
him this degree is not something to ‘fall back on’ but he sees his education as one of the many factors that enhances his scripts.
He oozes energy, has strong stage presence and has a deep-set passion for entertainment both in and out of the spot light. His audience can always relate to his material because his scripts are inspired by everyday happenings around him from politics to churches; media, his personal life, gender issues, love and stereotypes, social scenes and everything in between. He is also known and loved for his knack to customize scripts to suit different audiences, and therefore always remains relevant. Simply put, Mdura is a superb topical comic!
Farhan made his stand-up comedy debut at the end of 2012, professionally in 2014, and has become a regular performer on the South African comedy circuit. He has performed at prestigious venues such as Parker’s Comedy & Jive (Africa’s first ever comedy club), the South Africa State Theatre and the Cape Town Comedy Club (ranked in the top 10 comedy clubs worldwide).
To date, Farhan has had the privilege of being:
-The opening act for Carl Joshua Ncube’s “Feel Good Zimbabwe” tour (2014) and Riaad Moosa’s “Best of” shows (2015)
-A semi-finalist in the Montreux/Swiss International Comedy Competition (2014 & 2015).
-Nominated as “Best Newcomer of the Year” at the South African Comics Choice Awards (2015 & 2016).
-A support act to Anne Kansiime, performing to 3500 people at the Harare International Convention Centre (2016).
-Farhan has also served as master of ceremonies (MC), auctioneer and performed stand-up comedy at corporate events for organisations ranging from non-profits to large multinational corporations (2014-2016).
Tshepo Edwin Mpiti also popularly by his stage name MASAPO is a well renowned comedian and musician from the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, born on the 9th of November 1988 in Sea point, Maseru. As a child he aspired to be a performer in the arts of comedy and music which led him to join a local youth group that belonged to the Lesotho Evangelical church where he participated in the choir, numerous comic sketches and helping the choir win The Annual Morija Choral Competitions four times in a row from 2013 to 2016.In 2008 Masapo joined Serumula Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) – the most successful arts academy in Lesotho – to further shape his artistic talents.
He has been part of numerous projects with SPAA which includes performing Moshoeshoe the Musical in 2009, with the Lesotho-French counter parts in Celebration of 30 Years of the French Presence and Friendship with Lesotho, and thereafter winning the National Choir Festival in 2014 held in Durban, South Africa. Masapo is still very much a part of SPAA to date.

The quote above is what Clive is all about. He has transformed a lot of audiences and introduced them to the science of laughter. Clive Chigubu is a Stand Up Comic as well as an actor that has become a household name in the comedy circuit in Southern Africa for the last few years. His lightning fast wit and rapport with the audience has left all before him in fits of laughter.
It was in 2010 when Clive was introduced to the stage. He found this opportunity of doing stand up during the Ibumba Festival in 2010. This opened the door to more festivals in and around Zimbabwe…

Dr Shakes started his comedy in 2014 where he was a regular performer at finise Mbabane Swaziland. Also he has performed at Mbabane Alliance Church, Mbabane Evangelical Church and Matsapha Medthodist. On the year 2014 he was a U report embassador and also host of the child programme ses’khona. He is proud that he write his own material from scratch and never copy and paste.
His comedy journey started being serious in 2015 where he joined LOL competition which was stepping stone for him ever since then he never looked back.
Ndangi Iileka, or as he is better known, Iileka, is one of Namibia’s most recognisable and acclaimed comedians who also happens to be a professional electrical engineer.
A hilarious and dynamic story teller, Iileka engages his audience through his peculiar collection of tales that are easily relatable. In Namibia, he is widely known for his stand-up special, Okanona Kalikapo Insurance Cover, popularly known as O-K-I-C. Which is a comedy routine about an insurance policy for infidelity. A relationship insurance policy that pays out if the insured partner cheats.
He has performed at numerous events hosted by corporate entities within Namibia and has been, for the past 6 years a regular performer at the Free Your Mind Stand-up Comedy’s monthly comedy show at the Warehouse Theatre in Windhoek.
In September 2015 he performed his second one man show titled the The Unkwatwable which was to a large extent a hilarious take on the off-duty habits of young Namibian professionals, 25 years after independence. The show has been put on DVD and is available for a small but measurable fee.
With 10 years of comedy experience as a comedian it comes as no surprise that Kedibone is in constant demand as both a headline act and MC across the national comedy circuit. And him being Joyous Celebration’s resident Comedian and part of the same line up with Chris Rock when he was in the country cemented that. His mother calls him the funniest comedian on earth (well, why are we not surprised, she also thinks he is the best singer in the world), the corporate clients he has performed for call him a comedy genius that always tears the roof off with his witty and hilarious yet relevant punch lines.
Kedibone’s international appearances includes performances in Korea (South that is), South Bank Arts Centre London-UK, Atlanta, Tanzania, Zambia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana. The one thing that sets Kedibone apart from his peers is that he writes his sets for international audiences, his jokes are funny in South Africa and anywhere else in the word. His topics are based on everyday life, childhood upbringing, observations and international current affairs and a bit of subjects that people do talk about and also those that they don’t talk about, but wait for comedians to do comedy about. With a handful of standing ovations and encores performances for all South African State Presidents (Dr Nelson Mandela, Mr Thabo Mbeki and President Jacob Zuma) and two Nobel Peace Prize winners (Dr Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu).
Thabiso is a professional stand up comedian whose calmness and storytelling continues captivate audiences all over Johannesburg and South Africa.He started out professional stand-up comedy in August 2014, but his meteoric rise within the comedy ranks continues to further imply that he is destined for greatness at the highest levels of Stand-Up comedy.Thabiso also has appearances on Television, as an acting and presenter, He has a number of extra and featured roles with some of South Africa’s most recognizable Television shows, and has a resident presenter slot on a segment called The Sin Bin every Friday on ANN7’s Game On sports show.
Currently living in Braamfontein, Johannesburg Thabiso was born in Barberton, Mbombela and is a holder of a Sports Management National Diploma.
Thabiso has shared the stage with big names in the comedy Industry such as Loyiso Gola, Tats Nkonzo, Conrad Koch (Chester Missing), Kedibone Mulaudzi, Trevor Gumbi, Tall Ass Mo, Skhumba Hlope, Sifiso Nene, Siyabonga Radebe, Mashabela Galane, Eugene Khoza, Joey Rasdien, Mojack lehoko, Lazola Gola, Robby Collins, Jason Goliath, Donovan Goliath, Nicholas Goliath, Tumi Morake, Khaniysa Bunu, Thenjiwe Moseley, Kagiso Lediga, Dave Levinson amongst others in the small time he has started professional stand up comedy.
The comedian formally and informally known as ‘Prins’ is one of the hottest up and coming comedians in South Africa. He has in the short space of 4 years risen to comedy heights performing alongside notable acts such as Loyiso Gola, Deep Fried Man, Chris Forrest etc. He is active as a performer (playing iconic stages such as the Lyric Theatre and Comedy Central’s Live at Parkers Comedy Club) and as a director, having staged 3 successful collaboration shows at the National Arts Festival in 2014 & 2015. His material has been described as innovative and funny for the whole family.
In 2015 Prins won the Parkers comedy and Jive “Comic-Kazi’ Competition and was a runner up in the Comedy Central ‘Grab the mic” Competition for up and coming stand up talent.He also was the winner of the Jokenation international Competition and got the chance to perform for a sold out crowd at the international Jokenation Gala in Montreux Switzerland at The Montreux Comedy Festival, the biggest comedy festival in Europe.
Prins has MCed for top brands such as Santum, The Ombudsman and ACE Maize meal activations as well as for and many other corporate events, he is a polished and well presented MC.
